Aerial Yoga – Wednesday 10:45 – 11:45 am.
Using a looped piece of fabric this class offers a new way to explore space. The loop fabric provides support, traction, and in some cases adds a challenge to traditional yoga asanas. Previous experience of movement based classes (Pilates, yoga, dance) is recommended, however, all levels are welcome to explore space and asana with the use of the aerial hammock.
Pre-registration is recommended as class size is limited. To register go to the Class Schedule tab on the website, change the date in the upper right hand corner to 10/07/2015, and click on the sign up now button. If you are new to our MindBody scheduler you will need to create an account before you can register. You can also register using the MindBody Connect app on your smartphone.
We are actively adding classes to our schedule. Starting the week of October 5 we will be adding two more classes. We welcome Maria Dummermuth to our teaching family. She will be sharing a wonderful yoga practice with class participants.
Prana Vinyasa Flow™ inspired – Monday 9:30 – 10:45 am.
This class is an effective, transformational yoga class that offers a progression of full-spectrum vinyasa for beginner to experienced practitioners. The wave of a class is created through cycles of effective and creative sequences (vinyasas) linked together through the the breath. Class will include: opening movement meditation, core cultivation, and an exploration of energetic alignment through asana. We may also focus on various mudras, pranayama or meditation to create a whole body transformation of strength and fluidity, circulation and centering.
Vinyasa Flow Beginners – Wednesday 9:30 – 10:30.
Vinyasa Yoga is a sequence of yoga postures arranged specifically towards a certain goal or intention. This goal can be individual, even when practicing yoga in a group. We will explore foundational sequences designed to align the mind, body, and breath in our yoga practice. This is a beginner level class focusing on gaining strength, flexibility and aligning the body and breath in our movement. Class will include breath work and relaxation.

Beginning Tuesday, September 22 and Thursday, September 24 Metamorphosis Pilates Center will offer two new Yoga classes. The classes will be taught by Carmen Kelley. Carmen brings 10+ years of teaching experience and we are thrilled to have her teaching at the Center.
Beginner Yoga – Tuesday 6:30 – 7:30 am.
This early morning class is sure to get your work day off to the right start. Designed to teach the fundamentals of yoga to students new to yoga or who have not practiced for some time. Everybody is welcome. This class focuses on increasing strength and flexibility through standing poses and introductory hip openers. Breath is emphasized as we move the body.
Nourishing Noon Yoga – Thursday 12:05 – 12:55 pm.
Get away from it all with this noon yoga class, just for you. Come feed your heart, mind and body with a basic class that will challenge, open and expand you. Class will be heart centered, alignment based, philosophy infused and promises to be creative, supportive and nourishing. Class is gentle enough that a shower would not be required at the end of class.

Starting the week of September 21 we will be adding 3 new classes for the lunch hour crowd.
Essential Pilates – Monday 12:05 – 12:55 pm.
This class will teach students the principals of basic alignment, stability of the pelvis and shoulders, and integration of the breath with movement. A variety of essential exercises will target all major muscle groups. This is a great class for beginners and for those who want a refresh on the essentials.
Pilates with Props – Wednesday 12:05 – 12:55 pm.
This class takes the basic principles of Pilates to a higher level by incorporating the use of props. From foam rollers, to weights, fitness circles and more: this class will keep you moving and keep you wanting to come back to try out something new.
Intermediate Pilates – Friday 12:05 – 12:55 pm.
This intermediate class follows the Pilates principles with the more difficult exercises and an increased number of repetitions through more complex mat work. Movement sequences are structured to challenge more advanced Pilates students. Small props are integrated into this workout and are used to assist and challenge. Students will leave this class feeling strong, lengthened and balanced. Students should comprehend scapula stability, side lying alignment and pelvic placement.

Metamorphosis Pilates Center has moved to our new studio! We will be open for business on Tuesday, September 8. Our new address is 102 3rd Avenue SW. There is 2 hour free parking on the street in front of the building (3rd Avenue).
The Center has two studios. Studio A will be used to conduct private and semi-private sessions. Studio B is our beautiful classroom where you can enjoy group classes.
